As an educational institution, we have staff and students from diverse background with different orientation and capabilities. We have a demographic diversity as the students’ are hailing from different socioeconomic background, especially large no. of students come from villages.
With respect to this “uniqueness”, we are trying to include the value of “togetherness” among all the members of this institution by giving space to each every stakeholder to participate, explore, enhance and attain their full potential, ultimately making society a more equitable place.
The mission of our institution is to spread and strengthen nationalistic spirit among the youth and students and to provide higher education in this rural area through healthy teaching and learning process. The vision of our institution is clearly reflected in its mission statement as it is run in the memory of the martyrs of 1942 Freedom Movement. “Hutatmyanche Samarpan Zale Jithe, Dnyanachya Jyoti Tevavito Tithe” meaning “Let this sacred place of martyrdom be lit up with the lamp of knowledge.”
To cherish the memories of the martyrs, the sons of the soil, and their supreme sacrifice for the motherland, our institution organized “Shahid Din”, A Martyrs Day on the auspicious occasion of the festive day of Nagpanchami every year. The college also organizes “Kranti Jyoti Yatra” seeking active cooperation from Rashtriya Seva Dal, an NGO to inculcate the spirit of patriotism, human values and sense of responsibility among the students.
Ours is the only institution in the taluka offering Computer Science, English Literature and Geography as optional subjects for the students of the UG.
AUGUST KRANTI YATRA
The institution has organised "August Kranti Yatra" on 9th August, 2018 in commomoration of the martyrs of 1942 Freedom Movement.
It's an endeavour to cherish the memories of the martyrs of 1942 Freedom Movement and thus to inclucate the patriotic spirit among the students. Dr. Sureshji Khairnar, Nagpur, Ex-Chairman Rashtriya Seva Dal was the key-speaker, accompanied by Mr. Haribhau Talave, Mr. Dandekar, Mr. Potdukhe, President, Rashtriya Seva Dal, Wardha. Mr. Bharatji Wanzara presided over the function.
Dr. Sureshji Khairnar focussed upon the glorious history of India's freedom struggle and supreme sacrifice of the martyrs, the sons of soil, for the motherland. The speaker explained th esignificance and relevance of the values and nationalism, patriotism, secularism, scientific outlook in today's scenario.
"Shahid Din", Martyr's Day Celebration
Our institute is established in the fond memory of the martyr's of 1942 Freedom Movement. The institute under the able guidence of the parent body, organises "Shahid Din", Martyr's Day Programmee in commomoration of the supreme sacrifice of the patriots who sacrified their lives in the freedom struggle at Ashti on the festive day of "Nag Panchami". It's an endeavour to cherish the memories of the martyrs and also to inculcate the values of nationalism & spirit of patriotism among the students.
In the academic session 2018-19, the Shahid Din was organised on 15th August 2018 on the auspicious day of "Nag Panchami" to pay rich tribute. The function was presided over by the veteran freedom fighter Shri Bhaskaraoji Thakre, Mr. Ramdasji Tadas, M. P. Wardha, Loksabha Constituency, Mr. Ramdasji Ambatkar, M.L.C. Mr. Shivajirao Kuche, National MOtivational Speaker and trainer were the chief guests. The staff the students and the villagers entusiastically participated in the programme to pay rich tribute to these great martyrs of Ashti village.
